RWS 1302 - Rhetoric & Composition 2 |

RWS 1302 develops students' critical thinking skills in
order to facilitate effective communication in all contexts.
This effective communication is based on awareness of and
appreciation for discourse communities as well as knowledge
specific to subject matter, genre, rhetorical strategy, and
writing process. With an emphasis on analysis and research,
the class presents an approach to communication that helps
students determine the most effective strategies,
arrangements, and media to use in different rhetorical
contexts. The course also provides a space for informed
advocacy. Equivalent course ESOL 1312.
Prerequisites: RWS 1301 or ENGL 1311 or ENGL 1611 or
COMM 1611, with a grade of C or better.
