NURS 6360 - Translating Research to Pract |
This course provides the opportunity to acquire knowledge
and skill in evidence based practice that will asisst in
moving clinical practice to an evidence-based foundation and
provides the essential principles, skills, and tools of
evidence-based nursing practice. Special emphasis will
focus on formulating a question, searching/appraising the
literature/evidence, and use of the best evidence. Methods
of assessing results relative to interventions, harm,
diagnosis, prognosis, and risk and differentiation between
evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research
utilization will be presented. Prerequisite: Department
approval.
