CLSC 4478 - Preceptorship IV |
A continuation of CLSC 4471 and 4472. The student will also
be given the opportunity to demonstrate (1) the ability to
apply knowledge, attitudes, and skills to the clinical
laboratory practices and procedures; (2) the ability to
integrate previous knowledge and skills with more
sophisticated instrumentation and advanced methodology;
(3) an attitude of cooperation and concern
in interpersonal relationships and interdisciplinary
communication and team building with patients and
healthcare workers; and (4) an appreciation of the
ethical foundations of clinical laboratory sciences. This
course includes the principles and practices of quality
control and pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical
components of laboratory science and the application of
safety to laboratory practice.
Corequisite: CLSC 4478.
Prerequisites: CLSC 4471 and CLSC 4472, each with a grade
of C or higher.
