Molecular Parasitology (3-0)
Invasive and non-invasive parasites, tropical diseases,
parasite surface proteins and their variation, unusual
glycosylation and fatty acylation, unusual strategies for
gene expression and RNA editing, and the evolution of
parasites. Biochemical and molecular techniques to control
parasitic disease will also be discussed.
Prerequisites: BIOL 5342 and BIOL 5344.
